47 Channel is news channel from Saint-Petersburg, Russia.

Main Page
Main problems of the site were outdated style and lack of adaptability.
In addition, the main page was overloaded and no longer fulfilled its functions.
We created main page concept with simple structure and improved visual hierarchy. New page have a grid structure where materials can use a different number of cells depending on importance.

Preview Examples
To create a proper visual hierarchy we created 7 types of material previews for the main page with and without images.
News Feed
We added newsfeed block at the bottom of the screen with the option of full screen viewing. The most recent news appears here.
Material page
Inside material page sharing function, citation block, linked article inject and recommendations block was added.
Reader now don't even need to click anywhere to open new material, just keep scrolling. New material will appear below the current one.

Adaptivity
Adding adaptivity allowed us to vastly improve metrics since most of readers now uses mobile devices to read news. The number of mobile users increased from 72 to 91%.
